ToeFlex Nail Reconstruction
Toeflex is a Hybrid-gel that we use to create new toenails. It utilises the latest in nail technology and is a combination of traditional light cured resins such as hard gels and acrylics to create all in one strong but lightweight and flexible Hybrid-gel. It’s a cosmetic procedure that helps to make damaged, misshapen or fungal nails more aesthetically pleasing.
Unlike traditional nail salon applications Toeflex will not damage the natural toenail as it regrows. The prosthetic nail will generally last between 4-6 weeks and it’s safe to use nail polish over.
Toeflex can be applied to the fungal nails while topical antifungal treatment can be continued. Toeflex is suitable for: discoloured nails, fungal nails, traumatised nails, thick nails, damaged nail beds, split nails, those who had nails surgery, psoriasis, lifted nails.
BenefitsFor the reconstruction to be successful there needs to be some nail remaining for the prosthetic nail to adhere to. If you have had whole nail removed we can provide to stick on tape for the toenail but unfortunately it will not last for very long time it can be used for special occasions like wedding, holidays, parties, etc
During the toenail reconstruction process, first we will clean and reduce the thickness of the nail. After that the layer of connex will be applied to reduced the moisture in the nail giving extra bond. Then the layer of Toeflex will be applied and moulded bespoke to your natural nail shape and cured with UV light and the nail is filed into shape. After 6 weeks we recommend to visit us to remove the prosthetic nail and to check the integrity of the nail underneath and reapply Toeflex.
